How do you fill a PowerPoint template with an AI agent?
Short answer: Three steps: install the pack, pick the page whose block count matches your content, and let the agent fill the typed slots. The layout holds because the agent writes into slots instead of moving shapes — and the fill gates (overflow, template residue, template numbers) reject a bad page before you see it.
Why does block count decide which page to use?
Every page type in a pack has a fixed number of typed slots: a KPI wall with four slots, a three-column comparison, a six-row table. If your content has five points, it goes on the page with five slots — not on the four-slot page with a squeezed fifth bullet.
Matching block count first is what keeps the layout intact. The alternative — writing content and then finding a page for it — is how decks end up with text running past the frame.
What do the fill gates actually check?
Overflow: does any text box exceed its frame at the delivered font size. Template residue: does the deck still contain placeholder text from the template (lorem, "Insert title here", the demo company name). Template numbers: are any of the sample figures still in the deck after fill.
A page that fails a gate is rejected and reported with the reason, so the fix is targeted rather than a full re-read. These gates exist because the failure mode of AI-filled decks is not ugly slides — it is slides that look finished but carry leftover demo content.
What does the pack contain when it arrives?
A native PPTX with every page type, a prompt the agent uses to fill it, a page-type index so the agent can pick the right page, and the licence. Native means the charts and tables are real objects you can edit — not pictures of charts.
The pack is versioned; the version number on the page is the same one in the catalogue. If you need a page type that does not exist in the pack, that is a different pack, not a stretch of this one.
Fill checklist
- Install the pack and open the page-type index
- Count your content blocks before choosing a page
- Fill the typed slots; never move or resize frames
- Check the fill gate report before sending
- Remove any demo number the gate missed by hand
- Keep the version number with the deck for support

Questions this page gets asked.
Does the agent need PowerPoint installed?
No. The fill runs on the PPTX file itself; PowerPoint is only needed if you want to look at the result visually.
What happens if my content does not fit any page?
The pack is built from real page types, so most content fits one of them after a split. If nothing fits, the content usually needs to be two pages — which the page-type index will show.
Can I add my own pages to a pack?
Yes, inside your own deck. The licence covers use of the pack; the fill gates only apply to the pages the pack ships.
